Development Studies
Development Studies is an interdisciplinary major covering a wide range of aspects of life in developing countries, their development process and relationships with the rest of the world. An understanding of different cultures, languages, economies, geographies and histories that characterise the developing world are essential to understanding the nature of the societies and the processes of change going on within them. The existence of widespread poverty, inequality, environmental degradation and other conditions pose particular problems for development.
