Description

Subject Area: European Studies

Contemporary Europe: Key Issues and Debates in the capstone course for European Studies. This course will not only give students a chance to revisit and reflect upon the major political, economic, social and political developments that have shaped Europe throughout the twentieth century; it will also provide an opportunity to consolidate what they have learned during the course of their major in European Studies. Special attention will be given to key issues, themes and debates of contemporary and future relevance to twenty-first century European polities and societies. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the European Studies major, this course will draw upon different disciplines from history to politics and international relations.
