Staff Research
Staff of the School of Social Sciences come from a wide range of social science (and some humanities) disciplines and professions, including anthropology, criminology, sociology, social work, economics, political science, international relations, international studies, psychology, history and philosophy. Some work in a range of policy fields including social policy, economic policy, education policy, public policy, criminal justice policy, industry policy and development policy. They are active in theoretical and empirical research and receive funding from both national competitive sources such as the Australian Research Council and individual research contracts from government and other organisations. They publish widely in Australian and international publications and supervise research students on a wide range of social science and interdisciplinary topics
