PIGFAE POINT TOUR PICTURES; Set 6.
Ropes are a flying fox.
At present most neighbourhoods are “leisure-deserts”, with little scope for doing anything interesting. Many are ugly and dangerous. As a result people tend to sit at home and watch TV (about 4 hours a day in the US!), or drive away to commercially provided entertainment or restaurants. Leisure is a major consumer of energ in consumer society.

This is a home-made creek; dug for leisure get-warm on winter evenings.
If every neighbourhood created areas like this then within a ten minute bike ride of were you live there could be an inexhaustible range of fascinating, unique, beautiful landscapes containing rich leisure resources. Add in the many little firms, farms, forests, ponds, community centres, artists and craftspeople in your suburb that you could drop in on, to watch or chat with or learn from.
Building these areas would of course be very interesting and enjoyable activity. We would discuss designs, work together, and learn from the experienced builders. The resulting landscapes would be ours; we made them. You never let contractors build things like this!
We have many ideas for things to add to this area, including a cave the path will wind through, a pirate ship, and Tarzan ropes.
