Current Research Projects

Inventing Peace
This research project is co-written with the German filmmaker Wim Wenders.  The project uses the interface of cinema, art and philosophy to explore peace. It involves research analysis that will be published in book form with Columbia University Press (2012). By developing the methodological framework for peace, we will also work on a documentary on peace.

Ethics of Care
This research project is interested in memory, the sociology of experience and the issues of care. By exploring case examples of dementia in family experience, the project, in conjunction with Professor Paul Komaseroff (Monash University) and Professor Ian Kerridge (University of Sydney), looks at the question of identity, ethics and memory in changing life circumstance.

Connected to the ethics of care, a further research project involves the script development and play with the Australian writer, Christos Tsiolkas, entitled ‘Care’.

The third aspect of care, will involve a radio documentary based on the ‘Rights of Us’, the question of rights and care.
