Studying Honours in the School of Social Sciences offers a chance to develop your research and professional skills guided by staff who are passionate about research and the development of new researchers.

If you have achieved good results in your Bachelor degree, and you have an interest in developing your understanding of one of our disciplines, then you should consider applying for Honours.

Honours at UNSW is a separate degree program, combining features of both undergraduate-style study and post-graduate research. It offers a unique opportunity to develop your research skills and deepen your understanding of the discipline of your choice. It is also the traditional gateway to post-graduate research programs, such as Masters by Research and PhD.

The School of Social Sciences offers Honours in the following programs:

  • Bachelor of Social Research & Policy (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Social Work (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Policy (Honours)
